Dr. John special Thursday Aug 9

The legendary Dr. John aka the Nite Tripper is making his way to Victoria next week (Tues. Aug 14) for a show at Alix Goolden Hall, one of only two Canadian dates this year in support of his incredibly funky new record “Locked Down”. You won’t want to miss this show ladies and gentlemen. It should be one of the best to hit our shores this year.

Dr. John has had an indelible influence on music over his storied 50 year music career and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. At 71 he continues to rock crowds all over the world. This legend of New Orleans is one of a kind in every sense of the word.

Tune into the Music of My Mind on Thursday from 5:00-6:30pm, where we’ll feature a special on Mr. Rebannack aka Dr. John focusing on his classic late 60s and early 70s voodoo and funk inspired albums as well as tunes from his acclaimed new album, produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.
