Today on the Music of My Mind, we will feature music from one of our favorite bands, The Budos Band and their new album, III. Conceived during weekly, beer-fueled writing sessions in their dank Staten Island rehearsal space, sharpened to a fine point on the road – more than 150 live gigs over the last two years – and recorded during an intensely productive 48 hour period in January 2010, The Budos Band III is chock full of the type of tough sonic nuggets that have long earned The Budos Band the title, “the quintessence of Staten Island soul”. The Budos Band will be playing at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival on Labour Day Weekend (Sept 4-6). See the rest of today’s playlist below…
